Tips for Flash AstronomersThis page is always going to be a work in progress. If you have any tips that you think we should add, please email them to me at: Email: Flash@Rifkin.com Tip #1Binoculars are one of the best ways to watch the sky.My favorite binocular viewing aids are my chaise lounge and/or using a UA Unimount, but my friend Ron Woodland has another great idea- Sit in a rubber raft, lean back against the side and view. The raft will insulate you from the cold ground. A blanket or sleeping bag will also help on cold nights. So what if your neighbors think you are crazy sitting in a raft on dry land. You get the last laughs, as you get to enjoy the wonders of the heavens. |
